How to Find Us

If you are coming to Garlidna with a horse trailer or in a lorry please DO NOT follow a sat nav! The lane that approaches the farm directly from the A394 (Helston/Falmouth Road) is very narrow.

 

If coming from the direction of Falmouth/Truro:

From the A394 take a right rurn in the village of Rame and follow the signs to Porkellis. In the village of Porkellis you will come to a T junction with The Star Inn on your left. Turn left here towards Wendron, follow the road out of the village, it goes downhill, take the first road on the left, it is on a sharp right hand bend and there is an old engine house on the left. This is a single track lane, follow for 300 yards and take the first left just before a triangle of grass, again a single track lane. In 200 yards you will find our entrance on the left hand side. Double wooden gates with big granite boulders either side and a sign saying Garlidna Farm.

 

If coming from Helston or Redruth:

From the B3297 in the village of Trenear take the turning for Porkellis by the Poldark Mine. Go past the entrance to the mine and follow the road for aprox 1.5 miles. Take the first road on the right, the road is just before a sharp left hand bend and there is an old engine house in front of you. This is a single track lane, follow for 300 yards and take the first left just before a triangle of grass, again a single track lane. In 200 yards you will find our entrance on the left hand side. Double wooden gates with big granite boulders either side and a sign saying Garlidna Farm.

 

Parking:

Please come up the drive slowly, drive past the stables and on the left just past the stables there is an area of hard standing for parking. The entrance the the XC course is just a little further up the lane on the left by the large mounting block. There is room for turning up by the barn at the top of the lane.

If you are attending an organised event with pony club/riding club or a clinic and there are likely to be may vehicles, we may have arranged parking in a field on the way up the lane, in which case somebody will advise you.
